We can come and get you at La Grand’Combe/le
Pise (40 minutes train journey from Nîmes) between 10.00 a.m. and 17.00 p.m.
if you have notified us a couple of days before hand. From La Grand Combe it
is about 40 car-minutes to our place.
Dogs are welcome on
the campsite and in the gîtes, but they need te be kept on the leash all the
time. Don’t forget to bring proof of them being inoculated.
We have a septic tank
which is why you can’t empty your chemical toilet here, because the chemicals
kill the bacteria's and it stops the the functioning of the septic tank which
means the toilets will overflow!
For those being used
to drive in mountainous areas with a caravan, the access to our camp site won’t
pose any problem and certainly not for a one-axed caravans under 20 foot. A
double axed one of 27 foot has made it too but it needed quite a lot of
maneuvering to negotiate the last bend.
The last mile, from
the Col de Pendedis to La Combe de Ferrière, is , after 12 o’clock midday, one
way street for caravans, camping cars and our guests. You might meet our
neighbor coming up, but she will back up to let you pass.

We organize several
walking weeks with full board and lodging and Jur will take you on five
different walks. We speak English so the language won’t be any barrier. And if
you want to, you can brush up on your French or make a start with an experienced
teacher here at La Combe.
In the neighborhood
you can join in for a course in drawing and painting with Alix who speaks
english: www.cevennespeinture.com
And if your French is up to par, go and make a basket in chestnut wicker with
Serge:

In summer we serve
dinner regularly and the nearest restaurants is at the Col de Pendedis, at 1
mile. Our village St Michel de Dèze is at 3 miles (10 minutes by car) and has a
restaurant plus our baker and grocery store for all your daily needs. At Collet
de Dèze at 5 miles (15 minutes drive) you will find another small supermarket,
post office, doctor, nurses, pharmacy, butcher, tabac and hairdresser. The train
station and two bigger supermarkets are in La grand’Combe/Le Pise at about 20
miles (40 minutes ) and dentist, eye doctor and hospitals are in Ales at 23
miles or 50 minutes.
For your orientation:
at 55 miles north-west of Nîmes, half way the R.N. 106 Ales-Florac and starting
from Collet de Dèze a 15 minute drive in south western direction on the D13, you
will find the Col de Pendedis, from there the last mile due south will bring you
to us.

Our guide lines
We are a member of
the French Naturist Federation, the FFN and we actively subscribe the principles
of respect for yourself, the other and the environment. We take it for granted
that people go about naked, people who want to try naturism are welcome and
teenagers can keep their towel or parero on, except in the swimming pool: that’s
always without clothes.
For dinner you
always have a choice of yes or no vegetarian and we can take into account
special diets or vegan adapts. We are using biological products but we haven’t
as yet found a solution for several products, so it’s more or less bio ! .
