surroundings

A big part of the Cévennes is National Parc with an astounding number of rare and protected species and an amazing variety of landscapes within a circle of 30 km. the high planes of limestone (Causses), the canyons of the Gorges du tarn, the wooded mountain ridges (Corniches) of schiste and the impressive mountain of granite (Mont Lozère)

The influence of the Mediterranean brings nice spring, autumn and even nice winter weather, while the altitude at 600 meters offers a welcome bit of freshness in summer.

Around one of our many corners there are donkeys and pony's for hire; at an hours drive you can rent a canoe, go rock-climbing, visit one of the many little local museums or the famous bamboo garden in Anduze. Nîmes (Roman relics), Arles (van Gogh) and Uzes (duke-city) are at 1,5 hours drive.

Our village St. Michel de Dèze with a grocery and baker is at 5 km, the post office, butcher, doctor and dentist are at 8 km and the nearest bank and train station are at La Grand 'Come/La Pise at 25 km.
