Hidden between the chestnut groves in the mountainous and unspoilt South French Cévennes, far away from the bustling crowds, 80 km N.W. from Nîmes, you'll find our XIIth century Mas "La Combe de Ferrière": a heavenof peace, quiet and breath taking (it is steep!) nature.
Characteristics: simply and on a small human scale, based on respect for one self, the other and the environment, a relaxed atmosphere, a warm welcome and a much appreciated kitchen. 

Various possibilities 
You can either bring your own tent or caravan, hire one of ours, make it easy on yourself by staying in one of our guestrooms (full or half board possible) or enjoy the luxury of one of our two very comfortable cottages, the gîte.

The amenities
The swimming pool after our own design, the artistic barbecue, the children's area and the jeu de boules annex sport field, are all on the campsite area itself underneath our Mas.
In the house you'll find the bar/reception/communal room with maxi open fire and mini first-aid shop, games, information about the region, described (in English) walking tours , geographical maps you can borrow and mountain bikes as well as hammocks you can rent. 
On the big terrace with its magnificent view we serve the communal evening meal, with always a vegetarian option. Half or full board is also possible.
In season the baker passes every day.

the artistic barbecue

Our terrain is 90 acres, with one tiny and one little brook and 400 m. between de highest and the lowest point. We organize visits of our mas with its hidden room, medieval gate and secret passage. We speak English fluently.

Guestrooms
In the 18th century side wing (the former silkworm nursery) there are 2 simple 2-persons and three 3 (eventually one 4) persons, unheated bedrooms with electrical under blankets. The sanitary room is on the inner court. Houseguests can also use the XIIth century vaulted living room with wood stove. For group activities a large room of 100 m2 is available and eventually the big kitchen. 
Linen and blankets available, please bring your own towels.

Open from the 15th of May till the 1st of September. Reservation appreciated, give us a call at least one day beforehand. Group accommodation possible all year round.

The naturist campsite
Thirty pitches on ten acres, spread over different meadows (reachable by car) and nine terraces with ten pitches (access via small stairs, not suitable for little children, width between 3 and 5 meters).

Two small caravans ( each for two persons) for hire. Accessible for small and medium caravans only, electricity outlets, dogs on a leash, no (mechanical) music.
Open: from the 15th of May till the 15th of September. Reservation in high season is recommended. 

the terrace

The luxurious cottage

The nicely restored half of a house dating from somewhere in 1800, for 4 to 6 persons, situated at the naturist campsite. Two separate bedrooms (two persons), bathroom with shower and washing stand, hall, toilet, spacious living with two sofa-beds and open fire, kitchen corner with fridge, gas cooker, microwave and dish washer. Total floor space 75 m2 with solar floor heating on both floors and own terrace. 
Open: all year round, from saturday till saturday, electricity and gas included as well as bed linen and quilts.
